Greg Koepel

Greg is a dynamic leader who has great vision, energy, and enthusiasm as a executive within the leadership group. His public speaking skills are second to none, and his creativity in developing topics is outstanding. He is also the communications officer for the organization. I have had the pleasure working with Greg for close to 17 years. He has a keen understanding of our industry and organization and has put together excellent learning paths for all levels to excel. Training and education that has helped our organization to receive a variety of industry awards and many of top awards.

Greg manages a broad array of issues for Roehl, thoughtfully and capably. I am fortunate to work for him as outside counsel on labor and employment matters, and he continually amazes me with his creativity and insight. He is a great ambassador for the company and the transportation industry.

Greg is an amazing leader that allowed my career to springboard from when I worked for him. He is a gifted and inspirational speaker and leader. He is creative and expects the best of people. I do believe he is critical to the success of Roehl transport.

I’ve known Greg for many years and now have the opportunity to work with him at Roehl. Greg is a charismatic and driven leader. He inspires and encourages those he leads to perform at the highest levels and does so with courtesy and consideration. He truly cares for his team and for the organization he serves.

Greg is a dynamic and engaging leader, mentor and boss. His deep knowledge spans an incredibly varied number of topics and disciplines (from HR leadership to organizational culture to internal & external communications strategy and implementation, and he uses his profound grasp of overarching Human Resources concepts and principles to convey meaning and wisdom. As a senior leader, Greg develops other leaders. One of Greg’s most pronounced personal characteristics is optimism, which he uses to inspire those he leads.

I have had the pleasure of working with Greg for the last 13 years and I have reported directly to him for the last four. During that time Greg’s influence on Roehl Transport and on me personally has been significant. I’ll distill what I view as the most influential actions that Greg has had on Roehl and me to three points:
1. Greg is an expert on human behavior and what motivates decisions and actions within groups and individuals. This insight has helped to create a healthy and thriving organizational culture that facilitates teamwork and consequently the growth and development of the team and the individual members of the team.
2. Greg has taught me that work is more that just a place to show up for eight hours a day – it is a place to make a difference. Greg understands that to get the best out of people you have to appeal to their sense of purpose and belonging. This understanding fosters loyalty and creates an environment where people look for ways to go above and beyond what is minimally required.
3. Greg knows the importance of words and using words to intentionally create and maintain a healthy organizational culture. What Greg has taught me in this area has made me a better communicator professionally and personally.
There are many other qualities that Greg has as a leader and influencer that have impacted me. I will simply say that I am a better person today because of the influence that Greg Koepel has had on my life.
